Job Summary:

The Prieto Battery Data Scientist will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data related to battery performance and usage. This includes designing and implementing data collection and analysis methods, as well as developing models and algorithms to optimize battery performance. This role will require excellent communication with the battery manufacturing and testing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean and preprocess battery data from various sources.
  • Develop and implement statistical and machine learning models to analyze and predict battery performance.
  • Identify trends and patterns in battery usage data and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with development, manufacturing, and testing teams to develop new battery technologies and improve existing ones with a focus on understanding and mitigating degradation.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as physics, electrical engineering, or computer science.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, R and Matlab.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Matplotlib.
  • Experience in battery science and technology is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
