Job Summary:
We are seeking a Battery Engineer to join our team of innovative chemists, materials scientists, and engineers working to advance our battery technology. As a Battery Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing batteries that meet our performance, safety, and cost requirements. You will work closely with our team of engineers and scientists to develop and improve our battery technology for various applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop battery systems for various applications, including electric vehicles, power tools, and portable electronics.
- Conduct research to identify new battery materials, components, and manufacturing processes, in close collaboration with our data scientists.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop battery solutions that meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.
- Perform tests and analysis to evaluate battery performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain battery design specifications, testing protocols, and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components needed for battery development.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in battery technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in battery design, development, and testing.
- Strong knowledge of battery materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with battery testing equipment and analysis tools.
- Proficiency in CAD software for battery design.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
